Description
Are you tired of ATMs only dispensing ₹500 notes? 🛑 Even with the rise of UPI apps like GPay and PhonePe, cash is still king for daily wage earners, small shops, and everyday travel.
We’ve all been there: You withdraw cash, get a ₹500 note, buy a chai using UPI, but then struggle when the bus conductor gets angry because you handed them a ₹500 note for a ₹10 ticket! 🚌😠
To solve this "change" problem, the government is introducing a new solution: The Hybrid ATM Machine.
What makes this ATM "Hybrid"? இது புதுசா இருக்குண்ணே புதுசா இருக்கு...
It performs two special functions to increase the circulation of small currency notes:
1️⃣ Small Denominations: Unlike regular ATMs, this machine will dispense small notes like ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, and ₹100 when you withdraw money.
2️⃣ Currency Exchange: If you already have a ₹500 note, you can deposit it into this machine and instantly get change in smaller notes (₹50, ₹100, etc.)!
📍 Current Status:
This project is currently being tested as a pilot in Mumbai. If successful, these machines will be installed in high-traffic areas like Railway Stations, Bus Stands, and Markets across all states.
