In this upcoming live video, a professional cooking instructor will welcome us into her home in the city center. She will introduce us to the art of making homemade tiramisu. Tiramisu is a dessert that originated in Treviso (a city just 30 minutes from Venice) and is now known worldwide for its delicious taste and ease of preparation, as it is made with simple, easily available ingredients. The widespread popularity of this dessert throughout Veneto and all of Italy proves just how universally loved it is. In every pastry shop in Venice, you can enjoy the original version or a variation of it. Tiramisu is available in single servings or as whole cakes. You can also easily find tiramisu-flavored ice cream or filled cookies inspired by this beloved dessert. During the live session, we will prepare a classic tiramisu, which consists of soaking savoiardi biscuits in coffee and layering them with a rich mascarpone-based cream.
