Description

Chesterfield canal from Staveley Marina to Kiveton is incomplete. I document the new lock, extension and Bellhouse Basin reconstruction. Currently a new lock is being installed at Staveley Marina to change the level. The new lock wouldn't have been required if another lock hadn't been added for the HS2 that is now not happening. The canal will be connected through to Bellhouse basin after cables and pipes are moved. Bellhouse basin will be reconstructed. 00:00 (Introduction) 00:28 (The Moorings Staveley Marina) 01:37 (Current Chesterfield canal ends) 01:52 (New Staveley lock under construction) 03:17 (New cycle and pedestrian bridge) 03:29 (Cables and pipes being moved) 03:43 (Bellhouse marina level being raised and reconstructed) BIO Tim Wells born and bred Sheffield.
