Marvel News and Rumors - #184 - Avengers: Doomsday, Daredevil, Punisher, Jean Grey, Wonder Man

#marvel Hi everyone, I’m here with a brand new episode of Marvel News and Rumors. Let’s kick things off with Daredevil: Born Again. The second season has officially started, and in my opinion, it’s off to a great start. You can click the card to watch my "How was it?" video about the premiere. Character posters for the series have also been released, featuring Jessica Jones, Karen Page, Bullseye, White Tiger, and Swordsman. Finally, it was confirmed that this season takes place after the events of Thunderbolts. It likely happens during the 14-month time jump before the post-credits scene. But still, I hope we can experience The Void from the characters' perspective. In other news, The Punisher Special Presentation has been officially announced. The Punisher: One Last Kill arrives on Disney Plus on May 12th. I personally find quite unexpected, Marvel has officially greenlit Wonder Man for a second season. I’m not sure how to feel about this, as I believe there were other series that deserved it more. They are likely trying to get it ready before Secret Wars. Speaking of the big screen, new promo arts for Doctor Doom from Avengers: Doomsday have surfaced. We can expect more arts like these to drop as we get closer to the release. Meanwhile, during a fan conversation, Chris Evans reportedly revealed that he will be appear in Secret Wars. In the video, the fan plays back the statement made by Evans. To be honest, I haven't watched the full video yet, but I don't think it’s AI-generated. His return wouldn't be much of a surprise anyway. Moving on to rumors—Daniel RPK has shared some interesting updates regarding Avengers: Doomsday. Apparently, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be filming extra scenes together during the reshoots. Additionally, Florence Pugh and David Harbour are also set for additional filming together. While James Marsden previously mentioned that Hugh Jackman wasn't part of the shoots, current rumors suggest Jackman only has scenes with Ryan Reynolds and Tobey Maguire. They might be adding extra Wolverine and Deadpool scenes during these reshoots. RPK also noted that Yelena Belova will have a significant role in Secret Wars. Lastly, Cryptic shared that in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Jean Grey's powers will be enhanced with visual effects, similar to Sue Storm in Fantastic Four and Jean Grey in X-Men ’97. Almost every source is now reporting that Sadie Sink will be playing Jean Grey. Unless Marvel pulls a massive "bait-and-switch," we’ll be seeing her in the role. I'm curious to see how they integrate her into the universe. Is she from a different reality, or has she been here all along? Some have told Cryptic she arrives via time travel, but frankly, that doesn't sound very interesting to me. I hope that's not the case. And that brings us to the end of Marvel News and Rumors.
