Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Set To Take Charge As India’s 31st Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, has been appointed as the next Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army. He will officially assume office on June 30, 2026, succeeding General Upendra Dwivedi upon his retirement. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth was commissioned into the Armoured Corps in December 1986.
