Description
There is a reason anger feels so satisfying in the moment. Your ego loves it.
Eckhart Tolle explains what is really happening when you lose your temper. The ego inflates itself through anger. It feels powerful, righteous, alive. So the ego calls that good. But look at what is actually happening in your body while it lasts. The heartbeat, the circulation, the stomach, the whole energy field of your cells.
Anger is doing damage the entire time it is telling you it feels good. The ego cannot tell the difference between what feels good and what is good for you. And unhappiness is wider than most people realise. Despair is unhappiness. So is worry. So is the thought that you are not enough. Even a slight irritation is already a form of unhappiness. Any state in you that does not feel good belongs in that category, whether the ego admits it or not. Eckhart also returns to Socrates, who called himself the wisest man because he alone knew that he knew nothing. What he really meant, Eckhart says, is that he was the only one comfortable with not knowing. That is where real creative thinking comes from, and it is not something to postpone.
Do not project your awakening into the future. Become comfortable with what is here now. Eckhart goes much further into this in the full session. Join Eckhart Tolle Now to watch. đ
