Thandai Powder
Almonds 1 cup (100gm)
Cashew nuts 1 cup (100gm)
Pistachio 1 cup (100gm)
Maghaz ½ cup (50gm)
Poppy seeds ¼ cup
Fennel seeds ¼ cup
Dried rose petals ½ cup
Cardamom 3-4
Thandai
Milk 1 litre
Sugar 2-3 tbsp
Thandai powder 3 tbsp (¼ cup)
Ice cubes as required
Method:
In a pan, add almonds, cashew nuts, and pistachios. Dry roast for 1-2 minutes.
Now add maghaz, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, and cardamom. Roast again for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add dried rose petals and mix well.
Transfer all roasted ingredients to a grinder and grind into a fine powder.
Sieve the powder and store it in an airtight jar for up to 1 month.
(Approx. 400gm jar | Makes 5-6 litres of Thandai)
In a jug, add milk, sugar, and thandai powder. Blend well until combined.
Add ice cubes and serve chilled.
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 2-3 minutes
