Until now you’ve seen how I rode from Almaty, crossed Kyrgyzstan and finally reached the legendary Pamir Highway in Tajikistan… but the moment I arrived, my motorcycle died in the middle of nowhere. In today’s episode, I take you through everything that happened that week — how I got stuck in one of the quietest places on earth, Karakul, how local mechanics tried to revive the bike, and how an Indian traveller (who also happened to be a subscriber!) came to help. But the drama didn’t end there. As soon as I crossed back into Kyrgyzstan, the motorcycle broke down again. Somehow I managed to get it to Izzat — the most interesting mechanic I’ve ever met. Ex-security in Turkey, MMA fighter, Muay Thai champion… a man who was shot five times and decided to fix his life by fixing motorcycles. A lot happens in this video.
