Description
People do disgusting things inside of their cars. It’s either perfectly clean, or your car’s interior gives off the impression you’re a hoarder - because you are. Engineers have to design for worst case if they want their interiors to last - just look at a few examples of Ford’s durability testing: scratch testing at different forces, to simulate sharp objects hitting surfaces, material stretch tests, for those aggressively using their seats, a snagging test with spiky balls, for those carabiner key holders, resistance testing, so that your clothing dye doesn’t rub off onto the seats, of course, you’ve gotta handle splashes and spills without stains. There’s even sniff testing, so that the odor of the interior’s different materials, as car bakes in sun, isn’t overwhelming, as verified by approved odor assessors, a fancy title similar to what my parents often referred to me as - a smelly boy. Whenever they ride in the truck with me and say “let it rip!” I feel safe knowing my ride is Built Ford Tough.
