The Coachmen RVEX was a groundbreaking all-electric Class B motorhome concept built on the Chevrolet BrightDrop Zevo 600 platform. Introduced in late 2025, it was designed to offer a 270-mile range with a targeted price of approximately 150,000 dollars. This made it a highly anticipated entry into the electric RV market. The vehicle utilized a 173 kWh battery and 1,000 watts of roof-mounted solar power to operate all appliances without a traditional generator. Its interior featured eco-friendly, lightweight materials and a rear lounge with power sofas that converted into a king bed. The project faced a major setback when General Motors unexpectedly discontinued the BrightDrop chassis in October 2025, citing slow market growth. By January 2026, Coachmen officially shelved the RVEX because no other available electric platform offered the necessary combination of range and affordability. While the prototype received positive reviews from dealers, the project is currently on indefinite hold.
