I Shot a Musket for the First Time…It Was a Mistake

Today I shot a musket for the first time with Administrative Results and it went about as well as you’d expect. We tested a Brown Bess, a Virginia Long Rifle, and a Baker Rifle to see if these things are actually accurate or just historical artifacts that smell terrible and punish the shooter. Along the way we learned how they’re loaded, how they were used in real warfare, and why modern rifles are such a massive leap forward.
