Helping Children Heal in Gaza

Meet 5-year-old Taghreed, a bright-eyed little girl who's learning to live with a life-changing injury in Gaza. More than 44,000 children have been injured since the start of the war in October 2023. Injuries, limited access to health care and harsh living conditions have created overwhelming physical and emotional challenges. Yet Palestinian children continue to show incredible courage and resilience. Through partners on the ground, UNICEF provides lifesaving and life-changing support including rehabilitation, physiotherapy, mental health and psychosocial support and more.
