APEC’s “Zero Foodborne Outbreaks” Success

In October 2025, South Korea hosted the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, in Gyeongju. To prepare for the 2025 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has declared October 26 to November 1 as the “Intensive Food Safety Management week.” As a result, the goal of “ZERO foodborne outbreaks” has been successfully achieved during the first, second, and third APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting, and the Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
