In all seriousness, every person who trains here works super hard - but here's how to check your own effort:
1. Stick to moves you feel confident in - if an exercise feels uncomfortable or just plain weird, you'll never push it hard enough. Build around what you actually do well.
2. Time your rest periods - unstructured rest turns 45 minute workouts into 2 hour ones. Keep it tight and keep the intensity up.
3. Don't stay married to the rep range - if 10 reps felt easy, do 13. Most people undershoot the weight and leave way too much in the tank.
4. Run 2 warm up sets before your working sets - so by the time you get to the real work, your body is ready and there's no reason to hold back. Working sets and warm up sets should feel completely different.
5. Track your progress - if you're not measuring it, you're guessing. Know your numbers so you can beat them.
