It’s a girl! Giant panda cub born in South Korean zoo marks breeding program’s success

A baby giant panda weighing only 171 grams has been born in a South Korean zoo. The female cub is the offspring of Ai Bao and Le Bao, two giant pandas who arrived in South Korea from China's Sichuan Province on a 15-year loan in 2016.
