INGREDIENTS
⚬ 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
⚬ 1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
⚬ 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
⚬ 1 teaspoon salt
⚬ 3 tablespoons salted butter, softened
⚬ 1 large egg
⚬ 3 cups all-purpose flour
⚬ 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
For the Garlic Butter:
⚬ 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
⚬ 4 teaspoons minced garlic
⚬ 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
1️⃣ Warm the milk in the microwave or on the stove until it reaches 100°F to 110°F.
2️⃣ In a mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, salt, softened butter, egg, and 2 1/2 cups of flour.
3️⃣ Mix on low, then increase to medium, adding the remaining flour until the dough pulls away from the sides and is smooth and elastic.
4️⃣ Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 90 minutes.
5️⃣ Melt the butter for the garlic coating and set aside.
6️⃣ Grease a 9x13 pan or 12-inch cast iron skillet. Divide dough into 24 pieces, shape into balls, and stuff each with mozzarella. Pinch to seal.
7️⃣ Mix garlic and parmesan into the melted butter. Dip each stuffed roll into the mixture and place in the pan. Drizzle any leftover garlic butter and mozzarella over the top.
8️⃣ Cover and let rise again for about 1 hour, until doubled.
9️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
🔟 Serve warm or cool completely before storing in an airtight bag for 3–4 days.
