A grieving daughter says delivery apps must do more after her father, Glenn Perkins, was able to order “thousands of pounds” of alcohol through Uber Eats despite years of severe alcoholism. Perkins, a retired firefighter from Kent, often placed multiple early‑morning alcohol orders and continued drinking despite serious liver disease. His daughter, Connie Perkins, says she asked the company to block him in 2022, but privacy rules prevented action. She said: “If someone is ordering multiple times a day, every day, surely that should be raising alarm bells."
