When Israeli settler Yinon Levi fatally encroached on private Palestinian land in Umm al-Khair on July 28, 2025, some activists and villagers were filming, including prominent Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen. Using their footage and analyzing their metadata, AJ+ reconstructed the fatal shooting of Awdah, which is part of a wider pattern of escalating violence across the occupied West Bank.
