Mourners gathered in Qennarit, in Lebanon's Sidon district, on Sunday (June 21, 2026) to bid farewell to four women killed in an Israeli strike the previous day. The strike occurred on Saturday (June 20), hours after a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect. Coffins draped in Hezbollah flags were carried through the streets as people threw rice and flowers. Israel stated the strikes were in response to over 50 projectiles fired by Hezbollah at Israeli forces in southern Lebanon overnight. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has accused Israel of hundreds of ceasefire violations, warning that continued attacks will not go unanswered.
