to the person choosing to wait until marriage… this is one of the best decisions you’ll ever make. but what about when you feel like you’ve messed up? when you feel the shame, the confusion, the guilt that comes from stepping outside of God’s will? and what if you truly believe the relationship is from God… do you just throw it all away? this was our story. we didn’t sleep together, but we still went further than we ever wanted to. and we felt it. the weight of it. the conviction, the shame, the questions. this is where we had a choice. would we believe the lie that we had ruined everything God had for us… or would we believe His Word? that “the righteous fall seven times and rise again.” that what defines you isn’t if you fall, it’s what you do after. so we chose to get back up. we chose to believe that God’s power was strong enough to redeem even what felt like our worst mistakes. for us, that meant full surrender. we set boundaries that invited God back into the center and allowed Him to rebuild our foundation. after dating for 3 years, we stopped kissing until we were married (almost 2 years)! and wow… did He do a work in us. this was the best decision we ever made! our relationship is stronger, healthier, and more joy-filled than I can even put into words. so if you feel like you’ve messed up this is your reminder: you are not too far gone. your story is not over. God can redeem anything choose you place back in His hands 🥹🤍
