Mineral Insulated Copper Cable (MICC) was once everywhere… then it quietly disappeared from most installs. We think it deserves a comeback. In this short, we’ve used MI to feed an outdoor socket. Why? Because it’s tough. It shrugs off impact, handles the weather, and its slim diameter means it sits neatly on the front of a building — not jumping out like SWA can. It’s fire-resistant, mechanically strong, and looks sharp when done properly… but it takes skill to install and terminate.
