Korea-International Combat Training Competition | New Zealand Army

A New Zealand Army infantry platoon in the Republic of Korea recently competed against and alongside US, Korean and Uzbekistan personnel in the Korea-International Combat Training Competition.   Beyond getting the competitive juices flowing, it was a prime opportunity to test our combat skills in challenging scenarios in a force-on-force contest in mountainous and urban environments. This continues to advance the interoperability and shared knowledge between us and our partners in the Indo-Pacific region.   Following some intense battles against other platoons, there was a culminating battle – whereby all nine competing platoons formed an international battalion, conducting an attack against a professional opposing force in the urban terrain.
