A woman bleeds while swimming, turning the pool red. That night, black liquid runs down her legs in the shower. She goes to the hospital, where doctors say the baby is healthy. But her belly swells rapidly, her hair and teeth fall out, and her nose won't stop bleeding. When she wakes up in the hospital, she finds an ultrasound disc — and realizes something is terribly wrong with what's inside her.
