Tears rolled down her cheeks, she lay helplessly under the hay holding her 4 hungry crying children While walking in the garden near our house, we accidentally heard the sound of puppies crying. The cries of the puppies led us to a corner of the garden. When we entered, we saw a rather large pile of hay. Underneath the hay was a small house made from an old cardboard box. Inside the box were four pitiful puppies lying in each other's arms. The four puppies were only a few days old and were still quite small. The four puppies had not even opened their eyes and could not walk yet. The bodies of the four puppies were a bit thin and their fur was covered with hay. As we were holding the puppies, a noise came from behind. The mother dog ran over from a distance and looked at us with alert eyes. However, she did nothing but keep a safe distance from us. Her figure was thin and her face was heavy with fatigue. Her eyes looked sadly at her hungry children. It seemed that she had gone out to find food and returned without any harvest.
