Researchers with Global Impact 2024: Jay Marlowe

Jay Marlowe is Professor of Counselling, Human Services and Social Work at the Faculty of Education and Social work. His research focuses on refugee studies and settlement futures as it relates to migration policy, role of technologies and disaster risk reduction. He is co-director of the Centre for Asia Pacific Refugee Studies, CAPRS, which focuses on responding to conflict and climate induced displacement. His talk at the Researchers with Global Impact event at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, gave an overview of research that has led to better outcomes for refugees in New Zealand.
