26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder of Ann Widdecombe

Police say a 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of former MP and Minister Ann Widdecombe. The suspect has been described as white British man. In a statement on 10 July, Devon and Cornwall Police said the 78-year-old was found with "significant injuries" at her home on Dartmoor in Devon. Police say the incident is not being treated as terrorism. They have appealed for anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward.
