Description

After the K-Pg mass extinction, mammals were able to take up many different niches left vacant by the non-avian dinosaurs disappearance, but they were not alone! Many different taxa, ranging from the surviving dinosaurs, the birds, crocodiles, amphibians and fish were also diversifying as well, so mammals doing as well as they did really was quite astounding. If we had a rewind button to press and to go back to this early radiative period, minor differences could well play out would well have led to a very different world today! Nothing is inevitable, after all. Sources: Twisted Pair Make sure to like and subscribe to learn more about our wonderful world!
