A major highlight of the week was the President’s Working Visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he also met with members of the Filipino community. The gathering reaffirmed the government’s strong support for OFWs, recognizing their vital contributions to the Philippine economy and strengthening ties with Filipinos abroad. In the Philippines, President Marcos Jr. led the naming and delivery ceremony of the Hull No. SC 443 Kamsarmax bulk carrier, demonstrating ongoing growth in the country’s maritime and shipbuilding industries. He also inaugurated the 60-Million-Liters-Per-Day Aglipay Sewage Treatment Plant, marking a significant step toward sustainable development and improved quality of life for Filipino communities.
