Albo's fuel price plan

Anthony Albanese will halve the fuel excise from 52.6 to 26.3 cents per litre starting Wednesday, saving motorists about 26 cents per litre, while urging greater use of public transport as part of a national plan to manage the petrol crisis. Leaders also agreed to scrap heavy vehicle road user charges for three months and outlined a four-stage fuel security plan aimed at reducing demand, without explicitly introducing rationing.
