🇯🇵I visited Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu – Kyoto Yodobashi Branch, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. I ordered the Kuroge Wagyu gyukatsu, and it was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with rich flavor.
Even their regular gyukatsu is extremely popular—the restaurant gets almost completely full shortly after opening. One of my favorite things about the meal was that the beef is served medium rare, allowing you to enjoy its original tenderness and flavor first. Then, you can continue cooking it on the hot stone and adjust the doneness to your liking, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The combination of ponzu, curry sauce, and wasabi soy sauce made every bite different, and it was easily one of the best meals I had in Kyoto.
