A brighter day is expected across the UK today although not especially warm. Generally dry but light showers in the South West, parts of Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. Temperatures slightly below the average, but pleasant in any sunny spells. Cooler especially in western areas with a slightly stronger breeze.
