Huge ocean bulges rose unevenly as the two Moon halves pulled from different directions. Storm systems grew wider and more intense, spreading into long spirals that wrapped around the planet. Satellites near the planet drifted off their paths, caught in confused gravity currents. AumSum was already in space when the Moon broke apart. As he floated closer, he could see Earth below straining under the uneven pull. AumSum moved toward the broken Moon. The space between the two halves felt unstable, pushing and pulling his body in unpredictable ways. Intense lunar energy surged around him. Magically, his arms and legs became incredibly flexible. His body could stretch, curve, and bend smoothly without breaking. AumSum tested the change by extending one arm toward the first Moon half. He then extended another arm toward the second Moon half. He did not pull them together immediately. Instead, he absorbed their spinning motion through his body, slowing them down gradually. The effects on Earth became immediately visible.
