Malamute Puppy Zeus’ Second Morning at the Ranch | Tonka & Monroe Show Him Around 🐺 Morning number two at WaterWolf Ranch, and Zeus already looks like he’s been here forever 🐺☀️🐾 Today was another gentle, intentional step in building pack trust and familiarity. Zeus exploring the property with Tonka and Monroe when they were let out this morning, they were — curious, excited, and ready to guide their new puppy the way only confident, stable adult dogs do. Monroe went full Momma again 🥹🤍 — Watching her bond with Zeus in that instinctive, nurturing way has been the sweetest part of this journey. Tonka didn’t jump into puppy playtime right away — he’s a “sniff first, wrestle later” kind of leader 😏🐺 Every time Zeus gets a little too close too fast, Tonka gives him a few grumbly growls like: “Buddy, I’m here to play eventually, but I’m also here to protect my tail and your tail.” No aggression, just boundary-setting from the CEO of the ranch 😂 He’s making sure Zeus learns the rules early so: • tails don’t get ambushed • shoes don’t get stolen mid-lesson • and no one mistakes his majestic tail for a chew toy 😅 They showed him around the ranch step-by-step — sniffing trails, exploring corners, sharing space, and letting Zeus learn the rhythm of the ranch with curiosity instead of pressure. Day 2 check-in: ✔️ Played hard (a little too hard sometimes 😅) ✔️ Learned fast ✔️ Slept through the night like a champ ✔️ Earned the Monroe’s approval without fear, only respect and love. He ended the day calm, connected, and confident — already understanding that the best place in the world is right here… at home with his big dogs and his mama 🖤🐺🐾 Thanks for watching, for trusting the process, and for loving our pack as it grows.
