We Made a 60-Second Sitcom (Outlander Meets What We Do in the Shadows)

What if Outlander… but instead of a resourceful doctor travelling back in time, it’s just a wee guy with a hangover? That was the jumping-off point for Time Laird, a 60-second sitcom pilot that plays like a What We Do in the Shadows take on the fantasy-novel genre. In this video I’ll show you how (and why) we made it, what it took to pull off a time-travel sitcom with no budget, how we squeezed a whole concept into just one minute, and what happened when we sent it to festivals. I’ll also talk about what the project led to and where I’m headed next. I know the content on this channel has shifted a little, but between two new short films in the works and the journey toward my first feature, my plan is to make this channel the home for behind-the-scenes stories, experiments like this, and a place to track the whole feature film journey.
