UBEMADA KAYA TOAST
Ingredients:
2 ubemada slices, sliced horizontally into halves
4 thin slices of butter
4 tbsp kaya jam
2 onsen eggs
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp white pepper
Procedure:
1. Spread 1 tbsp kaya jam on the cut sides of each ubemada.
2. Add 2 slices of butter on top of the bottom half and sandwich with the top half.
3. Heat a pan over medium heat. Toast the ubemada sandwiches on both sides until golden and lightly crisp.
4. Carefully peel eggs and place in small dishes. Drizzle each egg with 1 tbsp soy sauce and sprinkle with white pepper.
5. Plate the ubemada sandwiches and serve with the eggs on the side for dipping. Makes 2 servings.
