🌋🐋🌈 🌊 Iceland Itinerary - ☀️Just did the full loop of ICELAND 🇮🇸 & it’s hands down one of the best road trips on Earth. Oh Wait! Not on earth. Its actually a mix of MOON & MARS!! 🌚🌎 🚘Here’s how we traveled ⤵️ Day 1 – Land in Reykjavík had dinner and checked in to our apartment. Day 2 – Started the Golden Circle: Þingvellir national park, Kerið Crater, Geysir, Gullfoss (Saw amazing rainbows), and had the best Farm to table soup at the Tomato Farm 🍅 Day 3– Headed south: Seljalandsfoss (Be prepared to get drenched), Skógafoss (GOT Wala waterfall), Saw amazing rainbows near these waterfalls, Dyrhólaey Viewpoint (closes by 7 pm) , Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach** 🌊Explored VIK. Day 4 – Drive east: Glacier Lagoon (take the boat ride!), Diamond Beach, continue along the stunning East Fjords, took the Oxi pass route for a magical drive 🏞️ Day 5 – Egilsstaðir, then north to Dettifoss (Very strong waterfall), Mývatn, Hverir, lava fields 🔥 Day 6 – Húsavík for early whale watching 🐋 → Goðafoss (So Beautiful) → headed to west 🌄 Day 7 – Explored the Snæfellsnes Peninsula: Kirkjufell, Glanni Waterfall, Arnarstapi 📸 Day 8 – Back to Reykjavík, chill & shop 🧘‍♂️ Day 9 – Wind down in the Blue Lagoon (Must Do, Its a Wonder), before flying out 💧✈️ Important Tips 💡 ✅ Book way in advance for best slots - Blue Lagoon, boat tours, & whale watching 🗓️ ✅ Layer up – weather changes throught the day. Summer is also COLD in Iceland. ✅ 24 hours of SUNLIGHT in Summer. You get plenty of time to explore everything. ❌ Avoid F-roads unless in a 4x4 🚫and Permitted by car booking company. ✅Landscape changesevery 30 mins, you get to see Iclandic horses (So Beautiful), sheeps and soo many waterfalls.🌦️You will not be bored even for a second. TRUST Me on this. ✅ Start early. You will stop 1000 times to soak in the beauty. ❌ Not stroller friendly. Be prepared to carry your kids around if they are young. ✅ Campervan = full freedom 🚐, you dont need to rush to hotels, no check in check outs. But can be less comfortable as compared to hotels and apartments. 💰 Cost ? Yes, it’s VERY expensive! Prices are 2 to 3 times as compared to Germany. ✔️ Flights: 500–800 € ✔️ Transport (car + fuel): 900–1,300 € (you can travel upto 2000-3000 KM depending on how many detours you take) ✔️ Stay: 150 - 300€ per day ✔️ Meals & snacks: 50-100€ Per day (Food is super expensive) ✔️ Tours & entries: 250–400 € ➡️ Estimated total: 2500 – 4000 Euros per person Is it worth it ? - TOTALLY YESSS!!!!
