King Charles Opens UK Space Hub and £185m Oxford Humanities Centre

King Charles reached for the stars before receiving a pitch-perfect welcome during a busy day in Oxfordshire. The King joined British astronaut Major Tim Peake at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, where he formally opened the UK Space and Defence Gateway and highlighted the need to protect the space environment. Charles later travelled to the University of Oxford, where he was welcomed by a choir of local schoolchildren before officially opening the £185 million Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. The King toured the new building, viewed historic musical instruments and examined a rare handwritten manuscript by composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
