After 3 weeks of testing the Insta360 Mic Pro in every scenario I actually use a wireless mic — as a lav, an on-camera shotgun mic, connected to my phone, and plugged directly into my Mac for Riverside recordings — here's my honest verdict.
DJI has owned the wireless mic space for a while. The Mic Pro is the first system I've tested that genuinely makes me question that. The e-ink customisable display is the headline feature, but what actually impressed me most was the noise cancellation — the best I've heard on a wireless mic system — and the 3-mic array with directional pickup modes, which no other wireless mic at this price offers.
It's not perfect. I cover the range test results honestly, including what to expect in dense urban environments vs open field conditions. But overall — genuinely impressed, and easy to recommend.
