Katie Killjoy's New Voice in Hazbin Hotel Season 2 (Voice Comparison) (Brandon Rogers)

Did you know this in Hazbin Hotel? One character that changed alot between the pilot and the full show was katie killjoy. During episode 1 of season 2 we finally got to hear more of the new katie so let’s talk about it. In the pilot katie was played by faye mata while in the actual show she’s played by brandon rogers. I’ll play a clip for comparison. Personally i’m not a fan of the new rendition of her. Katie killjoy in the pilot was super underrated. She perfectly nailed the cut throat radio presenter type of archetype. In the actual show i think this edge is lost. Vivzie and brandon have said that katie is based on brandon’s character Bryce Tankthrust. The recast makes sense in theory but in practice i think it misses the mark. It’s a shame too because katie and vox’s moments were some of the funniest scenes in the entire episode. Their interactions were hilarious. However alot of the charm is missing because it just sounds like im listening to blitz. What do you think? Do you prefer the old katie or the new one?
