Abandoned Space Complex | Baikonur

Today I want to tell you about a special night for me when for the first time I was really close to the things, of which I could only dream and read in Stanislaw Lem’s books. The moment which I felt, standing exhausted and covered with dirt somewhere in the middle of an abandoned hangar in South Kazakhstan, was one of the most intense and vivid in my whole life. Looking through the darkness at the abandoned spaceships that will never go to space again, I felt awe and agitation; everything around me was too important.
