Tubbataha - Earth’s Most Protected Reef

Prince Albert II of Monaco chose to visit the heart of Tubbataha Marine Park in the Philippines, one of the world's best-preserved coral reefs. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this marine park is a model of sustainable development and a true laboratory for the future. In addition to preserving species such as seabirds and green turtles, on which scientists attach tags provided by the Oceanographic Institute to better understand their migrations, the island of Cagayancillo has developed the cultivation of algae for the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries.
