Scott Mills fired from flagship BBC Radio 2 job over 'personal conduct'

The allegation that led to BBC Radio star Scott Mills’ dismissal has been ‘revealed’ after the broadcaster confirmed he had been sacked over his “personal conduct”. The 53-year-old presenter was allegedly taken off his Radio 2 show last Tuesday while bosses assessed the reported claim. The broadcaster, who took over the Breakfast Show from Zoe Ball last year, was told his contract was terminated at the weekend, sources claimed. The BBC said: “While we do not comment on matters relating to individuals, we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted to work with the BBC.” The broadcaster said he had been dismissed following allegations relating to his personal conduct, though no further details were provided. The Mirror has now reported that the reason for his abrupt axing to due to a “historic male relationship”. In a message circulated to staff, seen by the outlet, it was noted that “this news will be sudden and unexpected and therefore must come as a shock”.
