I had exactly 48 hours to turn the poster for my upcoming found footage horror movie into a physical, 3D reality. The goal? To showcase a terrifying creature lurking in a tunnel at the Pocket Gamer Connects expo in London.
With the clock ticking, I had to combine traditional model-making techniques with modern technology to finish this in time for the show. This diorama features a decaying tunnel set deep in the woods, complete with a custom-designed creature hiding in the shadows.
In this video, you’ll see the entire chaos of the build process, including:
Constructing the base structure using cardboard and polystyrene foam.
Texturing the tunnel to look old, damp, and abandoned.
3D printing the creature for maximum detail.
Painting techniques to create atmospheric lighting and shadows.
This project brings the concept art of my film to life. If you love found footage horror, miniature art, or high-stakes crafting challenges, stick around to see the final reveal at the expo!
