US President Trump: "I think we have reached an agreement on Gaza."

US President Donald Trump, regarding the crisis in Gaza, said: "I think we have reached an agreement on Gaza, and we will inform you about it." Speaking to the press while leaving the White House to head to New York, Trump answered questions on current issues. In response to a question on whether an agreement had been reached concerning Gaza, Trump said: "I think we have reached an agreement on Gaza, and we will inform you about it. I believe we are very close to an agreement. This deal will ensure the return of the hostages and will bring the war to an end. It will be an agreement that brings peace." Referring to his previous record, Trump added: "I think we have reached the eighth peace agreement, after stopping seven wars before." In a statement yesterday, Trump had noted that, following talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other regional leaders, they were very close to an agreement in Gaza.
