Mum and Dad magpies pop up; Dad scores quite well but Mum bails early – Australian birds

At 0:22 – is he going for an insect as opposed to having an accident? Or is that just what he wants us to think... 3:11 – this is how he asks for another bale. He rejects the first grasshopper I give him at 5:00 but he likes the rest. I'm just wandering around hunting for grasshoppers. Dad faked collecting at 9:35. He changed his mind and started eating everything moments later so the chicks remained hungry. For anyone that's curious, my editor typed 440 before settling down on the enter key.
