Threatened Species Day 2025 Today we pause to reflect on the wildlife we’ve lost and the urgent need to protect the species still with us. September 7 marks the anniversary of the death of the last known Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) in 1936, serving as a stark reminder of how quickly a species can vanish...forever. At Symbio Wildlife Park and Symbio Conservation Foundation, we are committed to ensuring history doesn’t repeat itself. Every day, our teams work to protect and preserve threatened species, from hands-on breeding and release programs, to education, and habitat restoration and preservation.
