Ubisoft continues to make smart decisions by turfing the types that drove them into the ground to begin with. Clint Hocking, a long time director within the Assassin's Creed franchise, was let go despite being deep in development in the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Hexe. At one point, Hexe was claimed to be the "gayest" game in the franchise so far, delving deep into the Salem Witch trials and a tone of feminist plot points.
