When a honeybee swarm prepares to move, it doesn't happen by chance. Scout bees are dispatched ahead of time, searching for the perfect home: dark, dry, with a small entrance—something easy to defend. A hollow wall would’ve been ideal. 🐝 So why did they end up here, building in the open? 🐝 The most likely answer: the scouts did find the perfect spot inside the wall. But when the swarm arrived, something went wrong. The queen, guided only by instinct, began to crawl upward—drawn by the promise of shelter—but the space was tight. Deep joists boxed her in.
