Description
NEVER GIVE UP: This was the 132 lb Upper Midwest Championship, before I went on to win many more championships and eventually turn professional with my main coach, Cerresso.
If you look up “Gizzy Hobbs boxing name and my old last name before me and my family legally changed it to Monarch ” on YouTube, you’ll see my amateur fights going back 16+ years. The journey is all there.
In tournaments like these, you can’t lose a single fight if you want to become champion. We did it over and over again. Many of these tournaments required five or more fights back-to-back to win the title, and the nationals are the same way.
Over time, I look back and see how much my style has evolved — how much faster, sharper, and smarter I’ve become in the ring.
I finished my amateur career with 134 wins and only 15 losses, documented year after year in my boxing books.
What excites me the most is knowing I’m even better now than I was then — stronger, faster, and mentally sharper than ever.
For years I carried a lot of stress: business pressures, family matters, custody court, and difficult management contracts that held me back. But that chapter is behind me now.
Today I’m free, focused, healthy, and at peace.
I’m taking care of my family, my businesses are thriving, and I’m fully back to being myself again.
Now the next chapter begins.
World titles are coming. #godfirst
