Sunday Evening Loading A Truck

What in the world am I doing here? I’m loading this truck with a shovel and a tiny bucket. It’s Sunday evening, almost time to start a brand-new work week; and I wanted to share some encouraging scripture verses with you. Now I would never actually load a truck like this, but this is what it looks like when I try to do things in my own strength. Sometimes we strive and struggle trying to make things happen all by ourselves. But the Bible reminds us in John 15:5, Jesus said, “Apart from me you can do nothing.” And in Zechariah 4:6 it says, “'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Here’s the thing, when we pray and surrender to Lord and live a life that honors him- everything can change. What once felt slow and impossible suddenly has Power behind it. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Now I’m not saying the Lord is like a skid steer- but when we stop relying only on ourselves, commit our work to God, and surrender to His will; He can do far more than we ever could on our own.
